Easy Appliqué

Hand appliqué is beautiful and can be very relaxing to do. Sometimes it's hard to get those narrow seam allowances turned under without causing the fabric to fray. Used fabric softener sheets are a great use for hand appliqué. Sew the softener -

sheet to the front of the appliqué piece using a narrow seam allowance, clip curves and make a little slit in the sheet, turn right side out, and press. Your appliqué is ready to be stitched on. Your project will smell April fresh, too

Use care when turning your applique right side out, as used dryer sheets tear easily. Use the eraser end of a pencil, or some other blunt object.
