Go the Extra Yard!

This quilting tip can save you more frustration than you will ever know! Consider buying and extra ¼ yard, or more, of each fabric for a quilt. The extra 'insurance' is nice if you make mistakes, and sometimes quilt patterns can be inaccurate. You can also cut out an extra block for -

practice, then use it as a label for the back of your quilt. Or use it to piece a backing with the extra yardages. It's better to have more fabric on hand than trying to find that fabric again later. It's also nice to have on hand because you like it and it makes you happy!
