The odds of going to the fabric store for a spool of thread and coming home with just a spool of thread are a billion to one.


Do you ever hand dye your own fabrics?


If you'd like to piece together batting scraps to make a larger piece of batting, follow these tips. Overlap the edges of the batting and use a ruler to make a straight cut through both layers, discard the uneven edges. Use a thread to match the batting, butt the cut edges next to each other, then use a large zig zag stitch on your sewing machine to stitch the edges together.
